This services agreement is made between Miss Parla Face Painting (the “Artist”) and the Client (“Clients”) for the provision of face and body art services. By engaging the Artist’s services, the Client agrees to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. SERVICES
The Artist agrees to provide face and/or body art services as mutually agreed.
Estimated painting capacity and minimum booking requirements are as follows (guidelines only and subject to variation depending on event type, guest numbers, and design complexity):
* Private Events (e.g. birthdays):
Approx. 8 faces per hour
Minimum booking: 2 hours (1.5 hours for locations within 20km of Caroline Springs)
* Corporate Events, Festivals & Community Events:
Approx. 12 faces per hour (simplified designs)
Minimum booking: 2 hours
2. FEES & PAYMENT
* A 50% non-refundable booking fee is required within 24 hours of accepting a booking to secure your date and time. If the booking fee is not received within this timeframe, the booking may be released.
* The remaining balance must be paid no less than 7 days before the event unless otherwise agreed upon with Miss Parla Face Painting.
* Payments can be made via bank transfer or other agreed method.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY
* Booking fees are non-refundable in the event of cancellations, but are transferable if needing to reschedule within a 12 month period.
* For outdoor events, clients are responsible for having a backup plan in case of weather. No refunds are provided due to weather conditions.
Private Bookings:
* Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event: booking fee is retained, but no further charges apply.
* Cancellations made within 7 days of the event, the full amount of the payment is retained. (No refund)
Corporate & Organisation Bookings:
* Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event: the booking fee is retained, no further charges apply
* 7–14 days before the event: 75% of the total fee is payable
* Within 7 days of the event: 100% of the total fee is payable
Rescheduling:
* One free reschedule may be offered (subject to availability) with at least 7 days’ notice.
* Any request for rescheduling must be accompanied by the full payment for the originally scheduled event. This payment will be held until the rescheduled event takes place.
* If adequate notice (7 days) is not provided for rescheduling, the request will be treated as a cancellation (see above). In such cases, a new agreement will need to be entered into, including a new booking fee.
* Rescheduling requests are subject to the availability of the artist for the new preferred time and date.
* If the artist is available for the new preferred time and date, and adequate notice (minimum 7 days) has been given, all monies paid will be transferred to the rescheduled event booking.
* To request a rescheduling, clients must contact Miss Parla Face Painting directly via phone or email. We will work with you to find a suitable alternative date and time, based on the availability of our artists.
* Once the rescheduling request has been approved and a new event time and date has been confirmed, clients will receive a confirmation email outlining the details of the rescheduled event.
*Any cancellations made after a rescheduling request will not be liable for a refund of any monies paid.
* The client is entitled to request a rescheduling not more than 1 time per booked event and the new date must be within a 12 month period of the original booked event date. A subsequent rescheduling request will be treated as a cancellation and no refunds will be issued.
Cancellation by the artist:
In the unlikely event that the artist must cancel due to illness or emergency:
* A full refund will be issued, including the booking fee.
* Where possible, assistance will be provided to find a replacement artist.
4. TRAVEL FEES
Travel fees apply for locations outside a 20 km radius from Caroline Springs:
* $1.50 per km (one way) beyond 20 km
5. SET-UP REQUIREMENTS
* The client agrees to provide safe, clean, and shaded area (indoors or sheltered outdoors)
* Face painting will not be performed in direct sunlight (well-shaded trees are acceptable).
* A parking space must be available. Any parking fees will be charged to the client.
* In extreme wind, face painting may be limited and glitter will not be used.
6. HYGIENE & SAFETY
* Face painting is not recommended for children under 3 years, though participation is at the parent or guardian’s discretion.
*The artist reserves the right to refuse service to:
Children who are unwell
Children with visible skin conditions, open wounds, or infections
Anyone behaving in an unsafe or aggressive manner
* Only professional, skin-safe, hypoallergenic products are used. However, the artist is not liable for allergic reactions.
* Strict hygiene practices are followed at all times.
Brushes and sponges are cleaned and sanitised between uses
Fresh water and clean tools are used throughout the event
7. TIMING & DELAYS
* The Client is responsible for managing the queue of children
* If the event starts late, the artist will still finish at the agreed time unless otherwise arranged
* Overtime may be available at an additional cost, subject to availability
* Refunds will not be provided if the event ends earlier than scheduled.
8. LIABILITY
Miss Parla Face Painting holds public liability insurance. However, the business is not liable for damages or injuries caused by unattended children or improper use of equipment.
9. PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
The artist reserves the right to take photos with express permission and use them for promotional purposes. Photos will not identify participants and will not be shared with third parties.
